The Frond booth at Quilt Market was a color explosion. So many deep, vibrant colors!
I took this picture for my album loving husband, whose LP collection is growing at an alarming rate…
Hope you’re enjoying these!

Spring Quilt Market 2014: Dear Stella

Oh my gosh. This was so cute!
Dear Stella posted this board and then there was a dish full of all these little felt backed clothes and accessories. They were doing a contest so if you dressed one up and snapped a pic to share on Instagram, you could win a fabric pack. Sadly, I did not win, but it was fun to do!
I really like the earthy tones of the Woodwinked collection. The colors are perfect for fall, which is my absolute favorite season, even if it does seem to turn to winter much too quickly here.
The animals on the dress up board were from the Wild collection, that particular fabric is aptly named “Dress Me”. Of course, you will need to check out the other collections if you want to put some clothes on them!
What is your favorite Dear Stella collection? I do admit to having a soft spot for last fall’s Do It Yourself collection – I really loved the clothespins design!

It was so fun to check out all the mini quilts made with the new collections from Windham Fabrics!
This one is mine. Ugh! I really wanted to smooth out that wrinkle in the buildings! I promise it was all nice and flat when I sent it off. Should have quilted it more. Silly postal system smushing things up!
Anyway, this is the Ciao Bella collection.
This is the Celestial collection, the quilt was made by Rosemary Cavanagh.
This is Precious Flannel, made by Meriel Aho.
This one is by Erica Jackman and uses two collections – African Surf and Mosaica.
This collection is Born to Quilt and the quilt was made by Kim Moyer.
All these little bitty squares were made by Aimee Gevin. The collection is called Cynthia.
This quilt was made by Terri Carpenter. The collection is called Swim Team.
Here is Far Far Away. The quilt was made by Steffani Burton.
Lots of little squares! This is the Shenandoah Valley collection. The quilt was made by Linda Sinclair.
This is the Governor’s Palace collection. The quilt is by Margaret Schroeder.
This quilt was made by Leisa Mayer. It is from the Think Pink collection.
This is the Cooking Italiano collection and the quilt was made by Alyssa Carrion.
This is made from Windham’s collection of 108″ quilt backs. It is the Modern collection. I love the color pops! The quilt was made by Deb Burton.
This quilt was made by Emily Lang. The collection is American Cowboy.
This is the Ampersand collection. The quilt was made by Allegory Lanham.
This is probably my favorite. (Am I supposed to tell you that?) Check out the pieced work done to create the woman in the lower left. Amazing. The collection is called Bake and the quilt was made by Natalie Cox.
This quilt was made by Joanne Harris and the collection is called Ava.
Finally, the last quilt is made from the Wharton collection. It was created by Joan Radell.
Do you have a favorite?

Spring Quilt Market 2014: Anthology Fabrics

I thought I took a lot of pictures at Quilt Market, but this is a booth where I really wish I had taken more pictures.
Anthology Fabrics has lots of gorgeous batiks. I found myself drawn to the vibrant colors in some of the quilts they displayed.
This quilt is called Rock Candy and was designed by Madison Cottage Design. It is 60×72″ and was pieced by Karen Ytzen and quilted by Sue Pawlowski.
This one is Brilliant Beauties of Joy and it was designed and pieced by Jacqueline De Jonge of Be Colourful. It was quilted by Elly Prins. It measures 80×80″.
Designed and pieced by Cat Nix of Catnix Designs, this quilt is called Calypso. It was quilted by Shawn Leighton of C&L Quilting. Unfortunately, in every picture I took I managed to chop off some part of it, so just imagine the top looks like the bottom. When it is all there, it measures 70×70″.
Also designed and pieced by Cat Nix, with quilting by Shawn Leighton, this last one measures 37×60″ and is called Baubles N’ Beads. Sorry about the weird angle on this one. Sometimes things were difficult to get straight on. Still pretty, right?
There were many other gorgeous quilts in this booth, and I really loved their fabrics. I have tried to link up to those who worked on each project, so you can check them out if you want to see more of their work.
Enjoy!

Cotton+Steel gave the opening presentation in a special session at Quilt Market on Thursday. Thursday night was Sample Spree at Quilt Market. Many of the Market exhibitors sell their wares at Sample Spree.
This was the Cotton+Steel booth at Sample Spree.
They sold all the fabrics they brought to Sample Spree in about ten minutes. It was crazy.
Cotton+Steel is the result of the collaboration of designers Melody Miller, Alexia Abegg, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Kim Kight, and Sarah Watts with the team at RJR Fabrics to develop a new division.
Here is their exhibit:
Many of the clothing patterns were from Green Bee Designs.
All the pretty bolts:
