Pattern Name/Number 3/2006 #23- pants
Pattern Description Pants with frills
Which view and size did you make? 110 with extra length
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
If not, why? I changed the look a little bit, but it still had the same feel.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
If not, why? -
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a great base pattern. You can make this pattern as boutique-like as you want.
Fabric used Stretch denim
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend I made the length long enough for pants, and I used the upper frill (#5) for the bottom of the pants. I didn't care for how wide the bottom ruffle was. I added extra topstitching down the sides so that the pants would have more of a jean look. I left off the drawstring, and I just used elastic for the waist. My daughter can't tie a drawstring yet.
Would you sew this pattern again? Yes
Would you recommend this pattern to others? Yes
Any additional comments I love this pattern! It is the one I used for the Bella Bella pants, and it is still one of my favorites.
