Re: Design 09 Myyry Corduroy Dress
This is Otto 6/2011 #9 in size 98. (I can't believe I had to trace size 98!).
Don't be like me and use polyester charmeuse for the sleeves/lining when the pattern calls for cotton. It is slippery, ravels, and when you iron it it melts. I melted a big hole in the lining and had to patch it because I didn't have enough fabric to recut it I guess no one but me...and you all of you...knows that it is there since it is inside.
Also, if you want the right side of the lining to show inside, sew the ruffle on backwards or you have to unpick the whole thing when you realize you can see the wrong side of the lining peaking out from under the dress. Enough said.
I do really like the darts that shape the back and the box pleat in the front. It gives a lot of shape to the dress. Hard to tell in the dark blue corduroy though.
