I love the look of these pants, however I found that the instructions to place the plackets weren't easily understood. I felt the way the pattern wanted it done, added a lot more work than necessary.
All in all, I do still like them and I will make them again, but I will be changing how I do the waist, likely removing the plackets all together.
I did add knit to the waist, because as the instructions are written, they are pretty big without some kind of elastic, etc. Instead of using elastic, I simply made a tube using a stretchy knit and attached it to the inside of the waist. When I make another pair, I will be sure to include a casing for elastic when I cut the pattern out. These are wide leg, so I expected a bit of a larger garment, but these are considerably larger than I anticipated.
I'll be uploading pics this weekend and will add the link then.

I made this pattern for my son and I love it! He wears mostly a 92 in patterns from ottobre, so I just chopped off some of the length at the bottom, and put the snaps closer together on the inner pannel to make the waist small enough. They fit perfectly.
Here is a pic: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...1/100_0323.jpg
Has anyone figured out those insane placket underlays? Because I've already slashed the pants in front and cannot figure out how to do the underlay or fix the pants at this point and am nearly in tears with frustration...!

i thought this might run a bit wide for my dd so i played it safe and did it in 98cm with no SA and it worked wonderfully. I wasnt sure about just buttons for her waist but it fits her great.i will definitely make this again. i use velveteen.
contrast coral buttons.
