    Pattern Name/Number
    3/2007 #30- blouse
    Pattern Description
Patchwork blouse. This is a shirred peasant blouse with front buttons.
Which view and size did you make?
I sized down from 116 to a 98/110. See below.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
    Yes
    If not, why?
The only difference was that I did not use a patchwork fabric.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
    Yes
    If not, why?
They were very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The width for the elastic thread is perfect. I am not sure how I feel about the clear elastic for the neck. It is curling up so I don't know how comfortable that will be on her neck. She didn't seem bothered by it, but I might consider a bias casing for the next one.
    Fabric used
    Lisette poplin
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend
My daughter wears about 98 for width and 116 for length. I added 1" to the overall length and moved the waist shirring down 1/2 inch. Instead of a turned under hem, I used a rolled hem to give a little more length. Make sure to measure your child because I think this one runs short. To size down to fit her, I took off 1/2" from the back (1/4" on the fold) and 1/4" from each front bodice piece. I remembered to cut my elastic shorter, but it could have been just a little shorter. The fit is pretty close to perfect.
Would you sew this pattern again?
    Yes
Would you recommend this pattern to others?
    Yes
    Any additional comments
This pattern is so cute that I can't stand it! It is a fresh take on the peasant blouse, and it is comfortable to wear. Update: I had to take out the lastin in the neckline because it just wasn't holding the neck tight enough. I replaced it with 3 rows of elastic thread, and that worked great.
