Japanese pattern book--back button, tie top mock turtleneck sheath blouse.

Usually I do OK with the Japanese drawings, but this was a real struggle, even after making it twice. I still don't understand how the interior neck binding is supposed to be. So, I modified it for a classic mock turtle neck finish.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I like the shaping with the darts and the tie top.

Fabric used

Version one, argyle silk twill (silk twill baby!); version two, german import stretch heavyweight rayon twill.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend

I would love for someone else to show me how to get the neck right. This pattern has such potential...I really would like to master it.
