See this mess? It’s been like this for at least a week. It happens far too often. See if you recognize the scenario –
1. I realized the boy needed some long sleeve tops and sweatshirts for winter.
2. I pulled out various patterns and magazines looking for ideas.
3. Excited, I traced out some patterns and started pulling out fabrics.
Well, that’s not true. Lots of things happened, it’s just that none of them were sewing related.
While pulling out fabrics, I realized that this cabinet
is full of super cute fabrics that my now second grader will not wear. Pajamas, maybe. But, I just made him three pairs of knit pjs, so if I make more, they will be a warmer version suitable for winter here in Minnesota – fleece, not knit. So I had to cry about that for a while. (Okay, not really, but kind of. It’s sad. What happened to the little kid I had such a short time ago? Sigh.)
Are you sewing up a storm? I hope so. Someone should be sewing. It’s going to be winter soon and the kids need warmer clothes!
