Lorraine (starkl on the forum) has been kind enough to host several doll quilt swaps for us on Sewing Mamas. Check out these quilts from the Fall Swap –
What’s a doll quilt?
It’s a small quilt that’s between 16 and 22 inches in both length and width. It can be used for a wall hanging, a table centerpiece or a doll’s bedding. The quilts are pieced or appliqued.
A doll quilt is great for beginners because the small size makes it a very manageable first quilt project. Check out Kim’s quilt close up:
And look at this one from Jeri:
Even the back is full of fall color:
Here’s a couple more, I’m resisting the urge to overwhelm you with every single one of them. I love them all!!

Check out this blanket stitch! Love!!
Jozel’s wonderful fall colors:
You want one, right? I know I do! Lorraine will be hosting the Winter Doll Quilt Swap very, very soon!
In the meantime, you can pop over to the forums and search the Runway for “doll quilt swap” to see other past participants’ quilts. I may also be unable to resist the urge to show you more of the quilts from the fall swap in the next day or two… :)
Happy Sewing!
