LOVE this pattern. It is easy to sew, even the collar, and looks cute and dressier than a plain t-shirt.

This pattern and I did not get along. When I got all done, it would not go over his head (and he has an exceptionally small head for his size)! Now, I used a not very stretchy knit, but I think the real problem is that the collar used interfacing, of course. I did not have stretchy interfacing -- I think most is not stretchy. So the collar could not stretch at all. I realized it would be a problem when I got to the line in the instructions that said to stretch the collar when attaching it so that it would be a nice stretchy seam. I don't know why this pattern has worked for so many others but not for me.

I didn't use any interfacing in the collar.
A boxy, looser fit shirt. Cute, though.

Now, I'm scared about the stretchiness of the neck as I sewed this for a swap. (Jenn, did you leave off the seam allowances for the collar interfacing? That might let it still stretch? ) I thought it went together pretty well and the result is really cute!
