GREAT pattern. However, I will say to stabilize your waistband quite heavily as you are using stretch fabric for this. I like to do it with a woven nonstretch material inside and didn't this pair --- huge mistake even with a nonstretch inner waistband. They "grow" as the day goes on. The pattern itself though is a nice fit, though surprisingly different from the jeans in another issue (I expected them to run similarly in the same size).
In comparison to the jeans, these sit lower on me (about 1-2 inches below belly button) and are wider in the waist. They are also snugger in the hip and high, but I expected that given they are sized for a stretch woven.
The flare is perfect IMHO and stylish. I did NOT shorten these and they fit mid calf on me at 5'3" as a reference.
