I am hoping that these will be a good gender neutral kid's swap item. I had to work out the pattern again, since the only one I had was the one i whipped up for Jake's last-minute christmas gift. He saw this one and freaked and I had to QUICKLY go find his...lol

Quick Sew-along with a Regular sewing machine (I don't have a serger). Made to fit a 3x5 card spiral notebook.
Main Body - 9 1/4 " x 6 1/4" (cut 1)
Flaps - 6 1/4 " x 4" (cut 2)
Pocket - 6 1/4" x 3.5" (cut 1)
Crayon Pocket - 4" x 3" (cut 1)
*Sew small double roll hem on flaps and pockets. Hem long edges on flaps/pocket, short edge on crayon pocket.
*Embellish pocket if desired.

*Fold under and iron 1/4 inch on edges of crayon pocket, topstich to main body (this one isn't quite where i wanted it). And stitch down the middle of crayon pocket
*Baste on large pocket if desired.

Those are really great, thanks for sharing! What size of notebook did you put inside?
Its made for a 3x5 card spiral notebook. You can tear out the 3x5 cards by perforation, that way you don't mess up your little artist's work. The artwork can be stored in the pocket. Jake likes to put the cards in and take them out. I got the idea because i have a wallet that is very similar, and he was always taking out all of my business cards.
