Materials:
Top - 2.5" wide x 21.5" long
Middle - 4" wide by width of fabric (42")
Bottom 2.75" wide by width of fabric
Elastic: 1/4" wide by 11.25"
Optional: Ric-Rac and ribbon
1. Fold top and bottom fabrics in half width-wise and press.

2. Serge bottom fabric to middle fabric.

3. Top-stitch or pin on ric-rac and sew down.

4. Gather top of middle fabric.

5. Pin top fabric to middle pulling up on threads to make gathers. Serge. Top-stitch. I like to top-stitch from the back so that I know my seam is getting sewn down.

6. Insert elastic into waistband. Sew side seam being sure to catch both ends of elastic.
7. Make five or six out of different fabrics because these are fun!
