The Slim Hip pants are made out of stretch uncut cord from JoAnn's. This pattern didn't turn out very slim, IMO. I had to add a bit of elastic at the back waist to keep DD from having to pull them up all the time. The pintucks look pretty cute, and add a little RTW detail to the pants. I'm too lazy to do belt loops, although I'm trying to convince myself that they're worth the effort.

Size 140, made out of stretch denim from Jo-anns.
alterations: taken in a bit through the inseams, outseams, back center seam. Also, I ended up running button hole elastic through the back waistband to take care of a gaping issue.
I really like the looks of these jeans in the magazine with the pintucks and topstitching. However, the fit isn't so great on my daughter. Like the other review, I don't think they are cut that slim. The Sarita jeans from 01/09 are actually slimmer through the waist and hips on my girl.
Final verdict: They'll do but I don't think I'll be making them again.
