Pattern ManufacturerPattern Name/Number Owl Applique
Pattern Description Pattern pieces to make an owl applique
Which view and size did you make? n/a
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
If not, why? -
Were the instructions easy to follow? No
If not, why? There really weren't instructions other than slide some pieces under other pieces. This didn't bother me because I didn't need instructions for how to do an applique, but I did want a quick pattern. If you don't know how to do an applique, you will need instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It turned out SO cute, and it is the perfect size for a shirt. It would be cute on a tote bag or skirt for an adult.
Fabric used A mix of knits and baby cord
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend None!
Would you sew this pattern again? Yes
Would you recommend this pattern to others? Yes
Any additional comments I used heat-n-bond to apply the pieces, and I used a straight stitch on the knits. I used a zig-zag stitch for the woven fabric and to make the beak stand out. I made sure to have a stabilizer under my shirt, and I covered the stitching lines in the back with fusible tricot.
