Hemp
Hemp is made from the stalk of the cannabis plant. The fiber is seperated from the gum and woven into yarns and fabric. It is a very durable and water resistent fiber. Woven hemp is very similiar to linen in feel and look. It is often combined with other fibers (cotton, silk, etc) to give it different drape and feel. Hemp/cotton jersey can be used for any clothing item - from t-shirts to lounge pants and everything in between. Hemp is also commonly produced in fleece, french terry, twill, and plain woven.
