This tutorial shows you how to sew undershorts using this pattern (http://www.sewingmamas.com/b/showthread.php?16575 6-Drafting-undershorts-pattern-from-leggings). My daughter wears these under all of her skirts and dresses, and they provide good coverage for sitting or playing outside. You can make them as long as you like, but I gave our favorite length in the tutorial. I also gave brief instructions on how to make a skirt with built-in undershorts.
