The pattern is fairly fitted - curves through the waist and hip. I made this from a sweater knit in size 36, lengthened straight from the hip to be a knee-length dress. I could have sized down and still been pleased with the fit, but there wasn't any smaller size! I was also surprised that I did not need to lengthen the sleeves.
I shortened the length of the neck band, so mine doesn't drape as much as shown in the photo.
Simple pattern, five pieces. Instructions have you sewing the side seams and then setting in the sleeves. I did not do this, just sewed it up as I would one of my kids' t-shirts.
