I'd love it if a mod could upload this to the downloads.... I made a pair of these last night for my pl dd and thought i might as well make a tut.

First I modified the pattern so that you cut out the front and back as one big piece, I did this by connecting 2 back pieces at the fold line

Then connecting the front to the back where they normally overlap

I cut out 2 layers of knit fabric from this pieced together pattern piece

Next, to make a pattern piece for the extra absorbancy layers, I just folded in the side tabs of the pattern piece I made above and cut out two layers of this of an absorbant fabric, I used microfiber cloths

Next, I sandwiched together the two layers of the knit and the absorbant layers and sewed around the absorbant layers to keep them from shifting. I also basted the other edges. You can kinda see the shape of the absorbant layers in this pic, where it is thicker in the center of the panties.

Then I sewed the sides up

and added the binding to the legs and waist like usual for the TDK pattern, next time I'm going to try truely 'binding' the edges, I think it may be more comfortable

Great tute! I don't have that pattern but I'm sure it could be adapted for another.

Awesome! I want to start PTing my DS as soon as we get back from FL. I will use this since I have the TDK pattern! I have been looking at buying a training pants pattern so you just saved me!

I suggest possibly sizing up, the extra absorptive layers made the size 2 a tad snug on my dd, I'm going to try one size 4 before I make a bunch more for her
