I have just completed these jeans for my niece (very tall and skinny), and I made them from a lightweight summer denim. I love that I am learning so much from this magazine, up to now I had NEVER shortened a zip! So easy.
I found that the jeans came together easily, and the topstitching was well worth the extra time. I made the size 148 which was the prefect length for my niece who is 144 at 8 years. The only adjustment I would make would be to use the waist from the next size down as is gaps abit on her.

Hadn't done the button when I took the photo.

I made these today in a 152 for a friend's daughter who just had a growth spurt, and loves skinny jeans.

Pics tomorrow when there is light in my house. :)

I used a dark sturdy denim, and green stitching / details.

I agree with NZmum that it's worth it to take care on the topstitching. The topstitching is what makes these pants special in my opinion.

I like the pattern a lot, it goes together very nicely.
